Elsabe Lintvelt - Centre Manager

Elsabe_Lintvelt.jpgElsabe has a passion for people. With her rich experience in the development sector she has realised the different needs of the diverse communities of South Africa. She believes that we all have a responsibility to contribute to the wealth and well-being of others.

Elsabe and her family has been residing in Wellinton for 16 years and she knows the community well. With the loving support of her husband Kolie and son Jaco she now enjoys the new and exciting challenge of being the Centre manager for Wamakersvallei Training Center.

Susna du Toit - Home Management Facilitator

susna-du-toit.jpgSusna is a teacher whose passion has moved from full time teaching to community service; in particular Wamakersvallei Training Centre. She sees it as a wonderful opportunity to be a part of the incarnation and upliftment of people. I think I learn even more from them. Susna also joined the Directors team 2 years ago.

Estelle Coetsee - Cooking facilitator

estelle-coetzee.jpgEstelle is a qualified Home Economist who completed her studies at Potchefstroom University. She worked at the Dried Fruit Board where she developed new recipes and worked on a full coloured recipe book. She enjoys working with both male and female students. Team work is very important and they have lots of fun together.

Marie Schmidt

Marie Schmidt is originally from the Eastern Cape where she was a teacher for the Foundation Phase pupils. Joining the Wamakers Training Centre made her aware of the huge need for significant training of young people who have not necessarily completed Grade 12. She finds extreme satisfaction in seeing the change in students when they realise that their training is just the first steps on the road ahead.


Emmie Malan – Baby Care facilitator

After retirement as a nurse, Emmie moved to the Boland. Emmie  is responsible for the Baby Care course. She finds it a privilege to sow into these young ladies' lives. Her desire is that this course will be a stepping stone to further opportunities for these students.

Connie Abrahams - Administration Officer

35401c0f155d6598e87b532c32b64b1e.jpgConnie Abrahams is the Admin officer at the centre.  She completed a course in Infantcare at Wamakerstraining in 2004. During that time Connie realised the need for student accommodation and consequently started her own business housing students from Wamakersvallei Training Centre.

Shirley Barends - Admin and Student officer

DSC05118.jpgShirley Barends is responsible for the students and their placement in the community. She is a teacher who served with her Preacher husband for 5 years. Wamakers opened a new door and she's been with the centre since June 2007. It gives her great satisfaction to see how student's lives are changed.
